Lamborghini UGR fires up at the speed of 402 km/h
Most owners are often satisfied with supercars that reach 100 km/h in a matter of seconds and don’t take long to reach the mile mark. It goes without saying that some people view a stock high performance car as the standard.
Most owners are often satisfied with supercars that reach 100 km/h in a matter of seconds and don’t take long to reach the mile mark. It goes without saying that some people view a stock high performance car as the standard. From there, the vehicles are typically driven to the limit of their endurance. These supercharged and turbocharged-based performance enhancements are the specialty of a number of tuning businesses.
A Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, tuned by Underground Racing, was one such supercar that was recently spotted on a drag strip close to Moscow. This well-known straight stretch of road is over a mile long and frequently hosts drag races. It appears that this specific Gallardo has two turbochargers installed.
The total power output managed with the fiddling was an astounding 2005 HP. The owner/driver had the audacity to test the terrifying power. He travels 402 km/h (250 mph) and crosses the mile mark in 23.9 seconds.
The majority of the run is uneventful, but as the finish line is approached, the engine is pushed over the brink by the stress it is under and explodes spectacularly, spewing forth fire in the process. The amazing footage can be viewed here.
