Jaguar XKSS Reborn – The Bold Beauty Of An Old School Super Car

Having “a passion for Jaguars,” Dr. James Hull collected 130 of our earliest models, including an original 1920s Swallow Sidecar, the first automobile produced by Sir William Lyons, the founder of Jaguar.

The exquisite assemblage also includes extremely rare automobiles, such as a rare alloy XK120, an SS100, and exquisitely restored Jaguar XKSS and D-type variants. Along with a Jaguar Mark X that belonged to Sir William Lyons himself, it also features a number of exquisitely kept children’s pedal cars.

John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations, stated,

“We are thrilled that Jaguar Land Rover and James Hull have reached a deal to ensure the future of this very significant collection of Jaguar and British cars.”

“We are happy that this agreement ensures their custody for the future, as we share James’ goal of keeping this special collection in British hands.”

Dr. James Hull was thrilled to entrust Jaguar Land Rover with his collection.

“It has been a life’s work and a labor of love to travel all over the world to build the collection over the years,” he said.

“My main goal was to ensure the collection’s survival in this nation. They are the ideal stewards to continue the collection, and I am confident that it is in capable hands”.

As part of the Classic Driving Experience, a carefully chosen collection of automobiles, cared for by the knowledgeable staff at the Jaguar Classic Workshop, are currently on exhibit and accessible for driving at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon.
