The 2017 R8 Spyder, an alluring exotic vehicle with a price tag of over $195,000, will be available at Audi stores. Beginning next spring, Audi stores will carry this 2017 model, a classic and dynamic industry legend.

The second-generation R8 Spyder has been unveiled by the new director of Audi Sport at Audi AG. As part of the company’s plan to create a separate business, the R8 Spyder is a member of the Audi Sport division, which also presently oversees the R and RS models, including the R8.

The second-generation coupe, the R8 Spyder, now comes in a convertible variant with a bigger engine and a trunk that is 36 mm wider. This addition improves the coupe’s overall appearance and makes up for the lack of a hardtop.

The rear windshield, despite its lightweight 44 kg, can be adjusted to reduce turbulence by installing a net behind the seatbacks, while the top can be lowered to allow fresh air into the cabin.

From a structural standpoint, the R8’s aluminum-carbon fibre chassis, reinforced at the base and windshield uprights, offers a lightweight and efficient vehicle. Engineers’ design and manufacturing methods reduced the weight of each component by 10%, resulting in a 50% better torsional rigidity, resulting in a 1720 kg vehicle.
